Our HVAC Journey
In 1956, after working several years at Peerless, my grandfather decided to start a heating and air conditioning business of his own. He started with $500 and named his company B&J Heating & Air Conditioning. The name is derived from my grandparents' names Bob and Jean. My dad and uncle worked with their dad growing up, and because of their father’s success, they decided to start their own business.

They called it Schaedel Brothers Heating & Cooling. I started helping my dad in the summers when I was 12 years old. I wanted to start my own business in honor of the two who started it all, so I started B&J Heating & Air Conditioning. Our goal at B&J is to provide the best customer service possible. Our motto is “Old school customer service.” When our customers call, an actual person will answer the phone and be ready to help you with any issue you may have. We look forward to helping you with all of your Heating or Air Conditioning needs!

Ty has been involved in the HVAC industry since he was about 12 years old. He worked with his dad and his uncle in Indiana, where they had their business. Over the years, he has done some construction work, but his heart was always with HVAC work. He made the leap and got licensed, and opened his business in July 2018. Ty’s commitment to you is Old School Customer Service, to always treat you fairly like he would want a member of our family treated.

Senior Technician
Bud (better known as Pop around here) has been in the HVAC industry for over 60 years. He started working with his dad and then started his own company in Indiana. Like Ty, he has been involved in construction and knows so much about the HVAC industry that we wouldn’t be here without him. Bud is a grandpa to 7 amazing kids who adore him!
Jaci
Office Manager
Jaci has been involved in the HVAC industry for two years. Jaci is Ty’s sister and Bud’s daughter….yes, we really are family owned and operated. Jaci answers the phones and takes care of the scheduling and invoicing. Jaci has two beautiful daughters that she adores and two fun-loving pups!
